Notes for my biographers
she/her
First off, thankyou for taking the time to check out my portfolio. I have had loads of experience working with a wide variety of different clients ranging from small businesses to larger organizations as well as on my own personal projects so it was hard to narrow down what I put in here, but I wanted to showcase the most variety.
A little more about me...I am a graduate from the Bachelors of Business Administration program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and SUPER game to put all my years of hard work and learning to good use with companies and individuals who are just as passionate as I am. I'm a big believer in the value of lived experiences as well as formal education so am always proud to incorporate my "on the job" experience into my work. I love being a marketer and was so lucky to have the opportunity to work hands on with companies and gain over 3 years of marketing experience while I completed my degree and have been able to grow my experiences and network ever since. While studying I took on many side marketing hustles to expand my horizons and open up some really cool new doors. During my time as a freelance marketing magician I develop social media and branding projects but have done some crazy unique work like building a catalogue for a medical supply company and helping startup a variety of new student initiatives on the SAIT campus including the Student Investment Management Trust which won the 2021 Presidents Student Leadership Award. Currently I work full-time at a B2B Barter exchange called Exmerce, and my job is to help every small business owner in Calgary learn how to leverage the power of barter for their business. Additionally, I am currently the Communications Coordinator for Stardale Women's Group, an amazing grassroots charity that helps empower young Indigenous girls to heal and grow into the lives they want to live.
On a more personal level I have a fuzzy little pupper named Arlo, and I love him dearly even when he sits on my keyboard while I'm trying to work. When I'm not working on my next big project I love to cook and also paint so you'll probably see some of my work as backdrops during zoom calls. I have actually sold some of my pieces although I tend to use it more to relax and unwind at the end of a long day. Because that's not enough I am also an incredibly passionate advocate for all things surrounding mental health and have (loudly) voiced the importance of advocacy and destroying the stigma surrounding mental illness. I'm currently working behind the scenes to resurrect some projects dedicated to raising funds and spreading awareness on the realities of mental illness. One of my group projects during my third year actually raised over $5000 for the Canadian Mental Health Association and is in the process of becoming a Not-for-profit!
Oh and I'm writing a book, but tbh who isn't?
